Product Description |
| Hikers know the value of a good daypack, which must be comfortable, moderately spacious, and versatile. Enter the JanSport Odyssey, a roomy 2,350-cubic-inch daypack that meets all of the above requirements with ease. The Odyssey is equipped with such ergonomic features as dual Biovent shoulder straps and a lightweight, highly breathable Ventech back panel. The Biovent shoulder straps, which are made of extremely lightweight molded foam, are designed to conform to your body and evenly distribute the pressure, so you still feel as comfortable on mile five as you did when starting out. The straps also include angled vent holes to provide maximum ventilation and keep the shoulders cooler. The Ventech back panel, meanwhile, not only protects your body from objects within the pack, but is also engineered with its own circulation grooves to increase ventilation and create airflow. Storage-wise, the Odyssey includes two large main compartments that can hold everything from sack lunches to rain gear to first-aid kits. Add in a deluxe utility pocket with an organizer for essentials, an easy-access V-loft pocket, and a zippered front stash pocket and you have plenty of storage for both full-day hikes and school outings. Other details include a die-cut hypalon grab handle, daisy-chain quick-clip points, dual side water bottle pockets, side compression straps for load management, a hydration sleeve, and an ice axe loop. The Odyssey--which is made of 210 boxcar derby, 420-denier Velocity nylon, and 840 double junior ballistic--measures 14 by 20 by 12 inches (W x H x D) and weighs 3 pounds 1 ounce.
